“The bonds set for these criminals ranged from no bond to an astonishing $250 million. I’ve never heard of that before,” Berger said, reflecting the gravity of the crimes.

The success of the operation was made possible through the coordination of 20 agencies and over 100 professionals. Florida’s Department of Children and Families (DCF) played a key role in mobilizing resources and providing child protective services on the ground.

Taylor Hatch, Secretary of the DCF, praised the joint effort. “Our team provided critical information, deployed investigators, justice coordinators, and human trafficking specialists in real-time to ensure every child was treated with care and compassion,” she stated.

Support and Services for Recovered Children

The rescued children are now receiving ongoing support and care. Mental health professionals, social workers, and child advocates have been mobilized to ensure their long-term well-being.

Agencies like BayCare Behavioral Health and Redefining Refuge are working closely with state officials to provide trauma-informed services and recovery support.
